(Circa July 2020) Okay, but does anyone genuinely enjoy the act of sketching? I mean don't get me wrong, it's good art practice and sometimes the best medium and all, but does anyone actually like DOING it? I know I didn't enjoy doing these. I'm sure there are people out there who honestly relish sketching and if you are one of them good for you! And please tell me what makes spending 2 hours drawing a monochromatic cube fun for you.  

 For those of you who live in places with actual seasons, Summer in Canada ONLY basically goes through July and August, Which means we've already had to sacrifice June (PRIDE MONTH) to the perverse gods of "Spring", and I will NOT allow Autumn Heretics to take August from me! I will ignore ALL back-to-school ads before September! I will guard this holy ground before the cruel Canadian winter overtakes us all. "OOOH BuT yoU'rE CAnAdIan You ShouLd lIKe aUtuMN thE LeAvES aRe sO prEttY" YEAH FOR LIKE 2 WEEKS AND THEN IT'S A SLOW DEPRESSING DEATH MARCH TOWARDS WINTER. You don't actually like Autumn (or "Fall", for the uncultured). You just like the two weeks of pleasant weather and pumpkin spice advertising. AND YOU OWE THAT WEATHER TO THE LINGERING EFFECTS OF SUMMER AKA THE BEST SEASON, AKA YOU OWE THAT WEATHER TO AUGUST YOU UNGRATEFUL PUMPKIN-SCENTED BASTARDS.

 I mean, other flavours are fine too. I just think chocolate is the best. Can you imagine dipping soft serve in ACTUAL chocolate? Absolute nightmare. It'd probably be too thick and melt everywhere, while the waxy coating provides a light, satisfying crunch that also keeps the ice cream inside from getting melty too early. People will go like "Oh but you're eating wax 😤😤This is basically wax😤" YEAH I KNOW. AND I ENJOY IT. YOU THINK I'D PREFER TO GET MELTY CHOCOLATE EVERYWHERE BEFORE I EVEN TAKE A BITE OF ANYTHING? (Yes, I bite my ice cream. Deal with it) Okay. I sound way too angry about this topic, but I'm just saying that I know that it's wax, but it's edible so I literally do not care.  THIS IS BEING FEMALE. CONSTANTLY EXISTING UNDER CONDITIONALS. CONSTANTLY HAVING YOUR REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS UP IN THE AIR. CONSTANTLY BEING SEEN AS VESSELS AND HOSTS RATHER THAN PEOPLE. I guess I've just gotten really used to being so nihilist and accepting of all the bad things in life that I can barely process a good thing. This is exactly how I felt at the Inauguration I DID NOT EXPECT TO FEEL GOOD. Anyway now I'm kinda worried because optimism is the first step toward being let down, and I'm afraid it's gonna let me grow complacent and apathetic. But I shouldn't feel bad about feeling GOOD.
